BREAKING NEWS! - New Badlees album to be released at the Gullifty's show - April 21st!

See Me As A Picture

2012 marks our 22nd year as a band and we figured it was time to release our first compilation record of our career. On April 21st, we're going to release 'See Me As A Picture: The Best So Far'. The album feature sixteen of our favorite tracks from our catalog plus two brand new tracks that we just finished recording last month.

Picking just sixteen tracks from our nine album discography was quite the challenge and we're excited to share what we came up with. Starting April 1st, on our new Band Blog, each day we'll announce one of the tracks from the record, along with commentary by Bret providing insight on each track. We're also looking forward to sharing the new tracks with our fans, as well. We're in the process of writing new songs for our new record, due out later this year, and we figured we'd give you a sneak peak at what we've been up to in the studio.

As an added bonus, this album features our most elaborate artwork work to date, with a 20-page booklet of iconic photos from the past two decades. The artwork features 'blurbs' about each of the tracks, written by us and promiment figures in our career. This album is not only a great listen but a great read as well.

Some may ask why in 2012, when the Encyclopedia Brittanica stopped printing physical copies, did we release our most elaborate artwork to date? We wanted to take you back to the good ol' days when people actually bought CD's and experienced the album as a whole - artwork and all. In fact, in honor of the music industry that once was, we're releasing the record in two stages: First, the physical CD will be available, and then one month later, the album will be available for digital download. I-tunes can wait. Time to smell the packaging for a change.

Since our first album came out on cassette, 'See Me' offers fans the chance to get their favorite Badlees songs in one place for the first time. Make room on on your I-Pods for our early rare stuff, but only after you give the artwork a good read.

The album will be celebrated at the CD Release Party on April 21st at Gullifty's (see below for more info) which will be the only place to buy the CD until April 24th, when it will be available on our website. On May 22nd, it will be available everywhere digitally.
