Badlees Annual Christmas Party & Open Jam Session

Many moons ago we used to do a weekly show in NEPA at a club called Jitterbug’s. Every week we would do one set of our standard show and then open the floor to anyone (yes, anyone) who wanted to come up and jam with us. For all of us who were there, those shows will go down in infamy.

On December 23rd at Brews Brothers West in Luzerne, PA we are going to relive that concept. One night only.

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing!

Badlees at Mauch Chunk Opera House

It’s hard to say “Pennsylvania band” without also saying “The Badlees”, possibly the most well-known rock outfit to emerge from these parts. Long in each others’ orbits as friends, drinkin’ buddies, and as members of other bands, frontman Pete Palladino, guitarist and songwriter Bret Alexander, guitarist Jeff Feltenberger, bassist Paul Smith and drummer Ron Simasek came together in the early nineties.

Soon they saw that more and more fans were turning out for their shows, excited to hear their singular brand of Americana rock ‘n’ roll, reminiscent of John Mellenkamp and Tom Petty, but with their own distinctive sound. In 2009 they reunited to release the fine album Love Is Rain, a satisfying collection of songs that traverse many musical styles.

Appearing with the band – Nyke Van Wyk! Opening for the Badlees will be Mike Miz.

Badlees Music Featured in Upcoming Film

A new movie titled Trust Me is currently being shot at various locations throughout Pennsylvania by Chris Fetchko Productions.

The film tells the story of Charlie, the manager of a struggling rock band, who tries to balance ambition and love, yet spirals into a romantic, financial, and emotional tailspin, culminating in a last ditch effort to put on the most unique rock concert of all time. Best of all, it will feature music by The Badlees as well as cameo appearances by some of the band members.
